Impact Church shares comments on the 2019 Special Session of the General Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Dear Impactor and Impact Supporter:
As we consider the decisions made this week by the Special General Conference of the United Methodist Church, we at Impact UMC recognize that this decision has caused pain to some of Impact UMC’s supporters as well as supporters of the larger United Methodist Church. Impact UMC is a place of welcoming to all, including members of the LGBTQIA community. We will continue to do everything in our power to welcome and value all who walk through our doors, enjoying God’s grace together. You have a home with us, and we are greater because you are here.
Impact UMC has cast a vision for this church that we are “An inclusive gathering of people committed to holistic salvation and doing Christ’s work in the world.” We are also a place where people from different ethnic groups, races, orientations, theological positions, and political affiliations can come together and worship as the true body of Christ.

We choose to share our Statement of Love and Welcome for ALL this October, the month of our “Sexuality + Spirituality Experience Series.” This time is perfect to share our commitment to love and welcome all of God’s humanity because often, we choose to divide ourselves as human beings based on the ways we seem to be different in our faith and in our physical appearance.
